Smiling's my favorite!

What a great read-through on Monday! Fantastic energy from the entire cast and crew of Elf!  Now, it's time to get down to business.  Go here to check out the REHEARSAL SCHEDULE for this fall.  If your family is new to PAC, you'll notice that your child may not need to stay every week for rehearsal. Please read through the schedule carefully and find when your child's character(s) is listed.  ALL CAST, of course, means everyone needs to stay.  In December, our rehearsals will be extended and some Thursday rehearsals will be added, so please add those to your calendar.

Also, take a look at the PROP LIST needs for Elf.  We always count on our friends and families for some fabulous props and set pieces!  You never know what's in someone's closet or whose mom might be fabulous at creating Pinterest masterpieces!

Finally, check here over the next few days for COSTUME SHEETS for all characters. These sheets are downloadable PDF files.

2013-2014 PAC Season announced...and it's a doozy!

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!  It's taken some doing, but as soon as I heard that Elf had hit Broadway, I had to get my hands on the soundtrack. The tunes are catchy and stick with you...kind of like the story.  Just like The Polar Express and Grinch, I knew our kids had to somehow bring this new Christmas classic to the stage in a family-friendly, time-sensitive (yes, under an hour) way!  All of the favorite Buddy catch-phrases are there, lots of heart-warming scenes, but most of all, some feel good, toe-tapping tunes and tons of great parts for many of our talented kids to show off their amazing acting, dancing and vocal skills.  I'm very excited about this show!

There are over 25 speaking parts plus various solos/ensembles in Elf. We'll have auditions for characters next Monday, September 16th during PAC rehearsal. If a member of PAC knows a particular part they'd like ahead of time, they can talk to be before Monday and arrange to audition during one of my planning periods this week. (Highly recommended.)  Performance date for Elf: A Musical Tall Tale is December 12th at 1:15 PM & 6:30 PM.

In the spring, we'll be heading under the sea.  Big, big plans underway as the set is already being designed for this one!  If only I could audition for Ursula!!!  Maybe we should start doing faculty/parent only productions and have the kids in the audience....hmmm..... Performance dates for The Little Mermaid, Jr. are May 14th at 9:30 AM & 1:15 PM and May 15th at 7:00 PM.
